£22,500 from Bristol Energy

Fantastic news! We are thrilled to announce that Bristol Energy has chosen to support Avon Needs Trees through their Additionality Fund, raised by their customers across 2019/20. All renewable energy companies with green energy tariffs on supply are obliged to set aside funding each time a customer switches, to support green projects. As a result, we’ve received a whopping £22,500 to go towards our costs at Hazeland!

This means all our tree planting costs are covered – including deer-proofing – and we will have more funds to survey the species that we haven’t yet considered, such as dormice, insects, invertebrates and owls. We’ll also be able to organise more events so that you can help with the monitoring. Many thanks to everyone at Bristol Energy who made this possible.
