11am - 3pm, 23rd July 2023
Parsonage Lane, off the A37, north of Pensford BS394JE
Join us for our family day to explore the world of trees (both young and ancient), meadows and wildlife at Great Avon Wood near Pensford.
Together we will explore Great Avon Wood. We will introduce you to the Publow Oak; an amazing veteran tree that is over 500 years old and measures over 10m around its trunk. Its gnarled bark, twisted branches and myriad leaves are home to hundreds of species.
The day will feature a range of outdoor games, crafts and nature based activities. It is aimed at children aged 5-12 (with flexibility for siblings) accompanied by parents or carers.
Bring a picnic, cold drinks and a rug with you!
This event is free to attend and we are very grateful to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for their support.
