Last week we officially launched Great Avon Wood, our ambitious 100 acre woodland project in partnership with the Forest of Avon Trust.

The launch was hugely successful and a fantastic celebration was had all round with speeches, drinks, and tree planting!

We were joined by Metro Mayor Dan Norris who planted an oak tree, with the help of Harry and Leo, the youngest and oldest children from Pensford Primary School.

Huge thank you to Dan Norris and everyone who came to celebrate with us. We would like also to thank the Forest of Avon Trust, Defra, the West of England Combined Authority, The Woodland Trust, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund for their invaluable support and making this project possible.
