Did you know there are 18 different kinds of bats in the UK, they can live for up to 30 years, they are the only true flying mammals in the world and just one tiny bat can eat up to 3,000 insects in a night?
Come and join us for an evening walk around Hazeland to look for bats. Guides will be there to show you around the site and help you identify and understand what you see. Learn how to use a bat detector to listen out for the bats as they fly around hunting for insects.
Seven species of bat have been seen or heard at Hazeland over the last two years including Pipistrelle, Greater Horseshoe, Serotine, Daubenton’s and Noctule bats. What will you see and hear?
