It’s been an exciting past few months at ANT, purchasing our third site, Great Avon Wood, and progressing with our first ever land partnership, Ed Woods.

Now we are looking ahead for more opportunities to create more woodland for next planting season and beyond, and are calling for landowners who would be interested in working with ANT to get in touch.

As a charity, there are two ways you can work with us: by selling your land or partnering with us. Partnering with us means we do everything – from procurement, community engagement and planting. All we ask in return is a guarantee of the woodlands’ permanence.

This year, landowners Bob and George partnered with ANT after inheriting land from their late father to create a new woodland to honour their parents’ life. The site is now home to 4,000 trees that will grow into a flourishing woodland that will stand for generations, creating a home for wildlife and helping tackle the climate emergency.

Reflecting on his experience, Bob says “Reforesting a space requires a huge amount of energy. For us, we wanted to give this land back to nature but we didn’t have the knowledge, time or experience needed. Partnering with ANT put the project into gear and moved things along smoothly and efficiently. We’ve really enjoyed partnering with ANT and working with all the different people involved… assuring, professional and great people. Would definitely recommend it!”

If you would like to work with ANT to turn your land into woodland, to leave special legacy for future generations, or plant in memory of a loved one, please get in touch with us at land@avonneedstrees.org.uk, or visit our Landowners webpage to find out more.

We are also hosting a Landowners Drop In Event on Sunday 2nd July at Pensford Village Hall, 2-4pm, so do come join us for an informal chat.
