Before her role at Avon Needs Trees, Rachel worked in the homelessness sector as a caseworker and prior to that, with young people on various mentoring projects and residential programmes.

With the eye of making her personal passion for connecting with the natural world and responding to the climate crisis part of her work life, Rachel is currently studying for a part-time masters in Sustainability and Behaviour Change. She is excited to be working in the intersection of ‘people and planet’ at Avon Needs Trees and to continually explore what connection looks like between community and woodland.

When not working, Rachel can be found somewhere outdoors, perhaps hiking, camping, cycling or foraging.
